TRZĘSACZ

The ruins of a Gothic church on a escarpment - this is a unique monument with an extraordinary history, known throughout Poland. The church was built about 2 km from the escarpment, but over time the sea took the shore and at the beginning of the 19th century the church was only 13 meters away from the cliff. The Baltic Sea was unyielding and in 1901 the first, northern wall of the temple collapsed. The last landslide took place in 1994, leaving what we can see today - the remains of the southern wall. Today, the cliff shore is carefully protected against the destructive activity of the sea.

Right next to the ruins of the Gothic church above the beach there is a viewing platform 20 m high above sea level, from which there are beautiful views of the sea, the distant horizon and paragliders soaring in the sky. You can go down the stairs directly to the beach.

Multimedia Museum on the Cliff - this is a unique museum, the unveiling of which was worked on by the best European specialists. This is a multimedia, modern exhibition, using presentations, sound and the play of light and images. In an interesting way, you can learn about the history and legends of the ruins of the church on the escarpment, the meaning of the 15th Meridian and many other interesting stories. A visit to the Museum lasts 25 minutes.

WOLIN

Bison Show Pen – – The pen covers 28 ha, of which the European bison have at their disposal a 20 ha paddock, including 0.5 ha of quarantine pen. Behind the fence, viewing terraces have been set up, and the entrance is guarded by an ornamental gate. Four European bison from Borek and Białowieża were brought to the prepared area in July 1976: a cow "Pomina", a bull "Podskakiewicz" and two heifers "Pompea" and "Podwyżka". Currently, most of the European bison living in the pen were born here. On average, 1-2 calves are born each year. In different periods, the number of European bison ranged from 5 to 12. Currently, there are 8 of them. In Poland, their names begin with the syllable PO - the first letters of the word POLAND. Although the enclosure itself was created as part of a conservation breeding program for bison, the enclosure also houses cured animals raised by humans that are unable to exist independently in their natural environment. Currently, we can find there: wild boars, deer and white-tailed eagles.

WAPNICA

Lake Turkusowe - is considered one of the most beautiful lakes in the Wolin National Park, it owes its name to the turquoise color of its water. The characteristic color is created by the refraction of light rays in water rich in calcium compounds. The lake is a flooded, chalk rock quarry, which operated here until the 1950s. The attraction from the Wapnica side has a convenient parking lot.

Piaskowa Mountain - We can admire Lake Turkusowe directly from its shores, but the best view can be obtained by deviating a little and taking the hiking trail to Piaskowa Mountain. Due to the breathtaking views - it is really worth it.

LUBIN

The stronghold in Lubin - Located on the highest point above the Szczecin Lagoon, the stronghold is a remnant of an early medieval stronghold that operated here between the 10th and 12th centuries. In the central place of the hill with the characteristic shape of the old fortifications, relics of the foundations of the oldest church in Pomerania (1393 century) were discovered. During the research, the foundations of a medieval residential tower and a church cemetery were also found. The boards present a historical outline of the stronghold and a description of the archaeological research conducted, as well as an exhibition of fragments of early medieval ceramics. There is also a possibility of minting a commemorative coin on the stronghold - an Arab dirham. Over a hundred such coins from 951 contain the treasure discovered on the stronghold in Lubin.

The hillfort in Lubin is a beautifully situated viewing point. From the terraces that have been prepared for tourists, there is an amazing view of the Szczecin Lagoon, the archipelago of forty-four of its islands and the backwaters of the Świna River delta and Lake Wicko Wielkie. The viewing terraces are located at the highest point of the cliff above the Szczecin Lagoon, over 50 m above sea level. We can observe various birds swimming here - including the white-tailed eagle proudly circling over the hillfort - the symbol of the Wolin National Park. We can also see the Szczecin-Świnoujście waterway and numerous water units moving along it. A professional viewing telescope is mounted on the terraces, which allows for more precise observation of these interesting objects and places. The charm of this place has caused the view from the hillfort to be shown in several television programs and in the press.

MIĘDZYZDROJE

Promenade of Stars (colloquially Alley of Stars) - a place modeled on the Hollywood Boulevard and the Alley of Stars in Cannes. Every tourist can compare their hand with the hands of popular film and theater actors here. The Alley of Stars was created in 1996, when during the Festival of Stars the first famous personalities of the Polish cultural scene left their handprints in commemorative bronze plates. Among others, Jerzy Stuhr, Krzysztof Zanussi and Krystyna Janda are here.

Pier - the longest concrete pier in Poland (395 m long), located by the amphitheater in the central part of the Międzyzdroje beach. At the entrance to the pier there are two characteristic white towers. The pier is a favorite place to admire the sea panorama during summer sunsets and spectacular autumn storms.

Wax Museum- an attraction for young and old tourists. Here you can admire about a hundred life-size wax figures depicting famous personalities from the world of politics, sports, music, as well as film and cartoon characters. A great souvenir from a visit to the office is a photo with the chosen figure (you can take it for free).

Planetarium - was created on the roof of a building by the Międzyzdroje promenade. It is one of the most modern facilities of this type in Poland. A visit to the Planetarium is the best way to get closer to distant stars, exploding supernovae, planets still waiting to be discovered or impressive, gigantic nebulae. Each session is a breathtaking journey through unimaginable spaces in search of the galaxy's borders, a journey through time revealing the secrets of the greatest natural phenomena to the birth of the universe. All sessions last about 30 minutes.

Oceanarium -a visit to the oceanarium is a unique opportunity to take a closer look at the underwater world. Visitors can see exotic fish and other marine organisms with their own eyes, which we usually only have the opportunity to see on TV. In the oceanarium, you can admire a real festival of fish in all possible colors and sizes – including dangerous fish such as sharks, rays and moray eels. Visiting the oceanarium is a great way to supplement the natural knowledge of children, young people and adults.
